Why do you need the gazette?

Most students assume the gazette is only for people who failed or want to complain. That is not true. You need the gazette for:

College admissions — many colleges require gazette verification rather than just the result card, especially for merit-based admissions, where they want to cross-check marks independently.

Name or marks discrepancy — if your online result shows a different spelling of your name or wrong marks, the gazette is the official document used to file a correction request with the board.

Scholarship applications — government and private scholarship bodies typically require gazette-verified marks as part of the documentation.

Study abroad applications — foreign universities and visa offices often ask for gazette-verified transcripts rather than just the result card. You can download the BISE Lahore 10th Class Result Gazette 2026 from this site as soon as it is published by the board.

About BISE Lahore Board

BISE Lahore — the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Lahore is the oldest and largest education board in Punjab. Established in 1954, it operates under the Punjab government and administers Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) examinations for four districts: Lahore, Sheikhupura, Nankana Sahib, and Kasur.

Every year, BISE Lahore registers the highest number of matric candidates among all Punjab boards. In recent years, over 200,000 students have appeared in the SSC Part 2 annual examination from this board alone — more than the combined total of some smaller boards. This scale means the BISE Lahore result is always the most-watched announcement of the Punjab result season.

The board operates its result portal at result.biselahore.com, which is separate from the main website biselahore.com. Students often make the mistake of going to the main site on result day — go directly to result.biselahore.com to avoid confusion.

BISE Lahore Matric Result 2026 — Expected Pass Percentage

Based on the last two years of data, here is what students from BISE Lahore can expect in terms of overall result statistics for 2026.

In 2025, BISE Lahore posted an overall pass percentage of approximately 72% — the highest among all nine Punjab boards. This figure includes both regular and private candidates. Girls consistently outperform boys at this board; in 2025 the female pass rate was approximately 76% compared to 68% for male candidates. This gap has repeated for five consecutive years and reflects the stronger attendance and preparation patterns in girls’ schools across the Lahore division.

The number of A and A+ grade students at BISE Lahore is also the highest in Punjab. In 2025, approximately 18% of all appearing students scored 70% or above, which is nearly double the rate seen at boards like DG Khan or Bahawalpur. This reflects the concentration of quality private schools and coaching academies in the Lahore urban area.

How to Apply for Rechecking — BISE Lahore

If your result is lower than expected and you believe your paper was not marked correctly, you have two formal options: rechecking and re-evaluation.

Rechecking means the board verifies that all your answers were seen, all marks were added correctly, and no page was accidentally skipped. It does not involve re-marking your answers. The fee is Rs 1,200 per subject for BISE Lahore. You must apply within 15 days of the result announcement — this deadline is strict and not extended.

Re-evaluation means a second examiner re-marks your entire paper from scratch. This takes longer (6–8 weeks) and costs more, but it is your legal right as a student. Studies of BISE Lahore re-evaluation data show that approximately 10% of re-evaluated papers result in a mark increase, which means if you genuinely feel you wrote well, there is a real chance of improvement.

How to apply:

1. Visit biselahore.com after the result is announced
2. Go to the Students section → Rechecking/Re-evaluation
3. Fill the online application form with your roll number and select the subject
4. Pay the prescribed fee via the board’s designated bank or online payment method
5. Submit before the deadline

Do not delay applying. The 15-day window passes very quickly when you factor in that students often spend the first few days in shock or celebration before thinking about rechecking.
